WANTED: Re-enactors for paid gig

In Roscommon.

Have been approached by Festival Committee to organise (herd) re-enactors for a weekend/Sunday display in Roscommon Castle, as part of an established annual festival held over Bealtaine (May Bank Holiday weekend, Fri 29th April, Sat 30th, Sun 1st May).

There'll be a small fee per adult in kit, with a slightly larger fee for living history displays, again per adult individual.

There's a field for camping, with water point available, and you'll be fed. And it's a great weekend to boot - good way to kick off the season!

Budget is limited, so I'll need definite names and money will be given out on first come first paid basis.

No politics and no messing please, I'm not getting paid for organising this, but I am doing it in my professional capacity; you know, that what puts food on the kiddies table an all. Message here with contact details and what you're committing to, or Email me: cruachanai@gmail.com

I'm sure myself and a couple of the lads can come along if that's ok, we do Medieval....Roman medieval that is Seriously though, we could bring the artillery and put on a bit of a show if you'd like, Alex can be the target!

So Folks, there's a Pig roast on Saturday afternoon, and LH displays and demos on the sunday.

They are also hosting the World Record attempt for most people knitting in one place, there will be a LOT of exposure on the saturday. There's a few quid in it for everyone who shows up in kit, and a bit more for those with LH displays and demos. Extra for tents too )

It's part of this event http://www.roscommonlambfestival.com/, which is an annual food festival that attracts a fairly good crowd, so it's great that they are looking to LH to be a part of it.

1000 knitters?! In Hyde Park the big stadium.

There's camping available on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday, all the firewood you could ask for, and even a few haunches of meat to throw on the fires (what, did somebody mention venison?!). It's a food festival, so they'll, well, feed us too.

Dressing in kit on Saturday and Sunday gets you paid.
Living History displays at any stage over the weekend gets you paid.
Combat demos and scaring the knitters on Saturday gets you paid.
Combat demos on the Sunday gets you paid.
Tentage and elaborate LH set up gets you paid.

Basically, the more you do, the more you get paid. There's obviously a cap on the over all budget, but they are very keen to keep us happy, as it has been firmly pressed on them that looking after the re-enactors is the priority here, because the re-enactors will entertain the crowds. We can be entertaining, right?!
