Swifty, looks like your leine is a good bit lighter than mine.

Did you see the one in Collin's Barracks ? The yellow-wool-kimono ? Any idea what their basis for using wool could have been ?

Yeah John, I know a guy who was involved in setting up that exhibition and he has acknowledged that the use of wool was a mistake - unfortunately he didn't personally have the power to change the situation!! So the answer is that there was no reason... I:{(

Hello, I read the contribution with interest. I look for nevertheless clothes from the time 14 - 15 Jhr. Is there a pattern for the leine and the jacket?

I'm not familiar with the use of Bollock Daggers in Ireland. I've never seen any references to them in Irish historic records or archealogy.

I was referring to Gaels in general and besides those daggers were used in Scotland and it isn't unreasonable to conclude that Irishmen would have used them considering the close ties between Alba and Eire.
