Ya, I posted a notice about it a year ago here somewhere, good book, the Templars weren't up to much in Ireland compared to mainland Europe, the Hospitallers had a greater role in the country it seems. It's defo a book for the library though. It has a good list of all the places with a Templar connection. M. J. Carroll is a Bantry man actually, sound out too, always welcomes interested visitors.

If memory serves there is a knight who was in the crusades burried in the crypt of st michans church in smithfield. Well worth a visit if you wanna see a mummy in the flesh and physically touch it as well.
