A depiction of ionar prior to Durer???

Red cotúns are depicted on Goghe's depiction of gallóglaigh from his 1567 map. My one is red but has been so heavily oiled with lanolin (to weather-proof it) - and from the mail itself - that it has a more dark brown appearance now - proper campaigned look!!
