Hey guys! My friend is in the middle of getting his Viking kit together, And he is looking for somewhere to purchase a weapon for his Kit. I think he is looking for an axe preferable. Oh and also he lives in the UK so if you know of anything over there that might be easyer for him! Cheers guys!

For a Sword or seaxe he could try Bob Davies at http://www.vikingswords.net/ highly recommend his work, Bob made a sword for me 3 years ago, and the quality has stood the test of heavy usage, very rare to find a burr on the blade.

Bob does some very pretty and very light combat axes.

I've got a set of three mammon axes that geoffrey@pieters.fsworld.co.uk made me. Really beautiful pieces, made like the mammen axes. One came sharpened, so I could use it as a camp axe. I've no idea if he'll do combat-safe ones, but I'm sure it's possible.

I'd meant to ask - if he's fighting, I'd suggest leave off getting an axe for a while. They are really tricky. A double handed spear, or a sword would be better.

If he's interested, I've got a spare viking sword I don't need. It's nice, seen a little action, but looks well. It comes with a gorgeous though plain early norman scabbard (I'd got it for hastings, but the sword works for 800-1100 (or maybe 1200, if you were also doing norse-scots).
