Birka Lantern

hi,
I am currently trying to make a few variants of lanterns. One of them is what I have heard described as the Birka lantern:
Essentially, it is 2 wooden disks connected with dowels and with a hole in the top one for the heat. What is unusual about it is that there is another dowel attached to a plate/piece of wood used to raise/lower the candle from the middle of the lantern.

Now, this does undoubtedly look cool and is very functional, but has one actually been found?
